Help Thy Neighbor

Mission Statement
To help our neighbors in need throughout the world.

We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to share. Sometimes we feel our ideas can even change the world, and we want to let other people know how they can join in and make all our lives better.Don and I have decided to start a non-profit called Help Thy Neighbor. Our mision will be to help orphanages or children’s homes, in India and here in the United States, with whatever they need. We decided to start this after our experience in India at i-india. We volunteered there for 6 months and found it to be a wonderful place that is helping many children in and around Jaipur, India. Our first mission will be to raise 25,000$ US to help build a clinic at the Prem Pathshala School in Jhag, India. The directors of i-India, Professor and Mrs Goswami, have already built a school (200 students) and a boy’s home (40 boys) on land that was given to them by the government of India. They would like to build a clinic, a girl’s home, a volunteer hostel and a place for the warden’s and workers to stay. I have posted pictures of the Jhag compound on the i-india page. Our webpage for Help Thy Neighbor is helpthyneighbor.org. Please visit the site and find out how you can help. The link is under the blogroll below. We also have the blog on wordpress called Help Thy Neighbor. This is truly where we will be updating our work and taking suggestions for helping neighbors throughout the world. Pleass visit that site to learn more about how you can Help Thy Neighbor.

Help Thy Neighbor Blog

This site will present our organization's cause or ideas to the world. As communicating isn't always easy, we'll try to include photos and images that convey our message (remember, a well-chosen picture is a great way to get a point across). We'll also include specific information about our organization and its members, so no one forgets the people behind the pictures.

On this home page, we'll introduce our cause or message. We'll also try to include a picture or two that represents the kind of work we do.

Our mission is to help neighbors throughout the world. Our first project will be to help raise funds to build a clinic at the Prem Pathshala School for orphan children in Jhag, India

To ensure people get the right idea, we'll include a brief statement here that describes our organization. We'll tell people what we want to accomplish and exactly how we plan to do it.
